Carina studied contemplative practices for two decades.
Born behind the Iron Curtain, she also understands the immigrant experience, the old vs. new world cultural differences, and the struggle on a highly trained Western mind to reconnect with or be in what many call “the heart”.
As a former competitive figure skater, artist and restorative justice professional, Carina knows about ambition, performance overachievement, responsibility towards others that can translate into forgetting oneself, duty, discipline, risking it all, pushing one’s boundaries and making things happen against all odds.
Carina's personal approach
“The Mind is fearful, The Heart is brave” - it’s the most precious insight I received as I meditated in the Amazonian jungle of Peru. The mind is a powerful and necessary “tool”, but it can overpower one’s perception of reality. Narratives driven by anxiety and worry can hijack one’s attention - from here to burn out it’s just a step. When we are in the “heart”, we can keep a clear mind, we can hold a peaceful state even as we live in the middle of a tragedy. It is a paradox, and a play on concepts and words that often get trivialized, and few are skillful to navigate. Without invalidating rightful anger, my preferred course of action is to always find my way into, and share this deep peaceful state.
I can trace this way of being in the world back to the teachings of my Greek grandmother, who had a golden rule: “festina lente”. One has to slow down in order to move faster.
A strong connection with nature and a rigorous spiritual practice helped her find a way to balance work and life needs. She learn to push when it’s time to push, surrender when it’s time to surrender.
Carina has three Masters in Neuroscience, Filmmaking and Law/Mediation.
She studied The Shambhala Path of the Warrior in the Tibetan tradition, sat with elders from both the Americas and Africa. She was welcomed by the elders of rare healing lineages, and she is deeply grateful for the transmission she received. Carina combines her science background and her esoteric training to guide one's needs towards a better, practical, but also magical and happy life.
She is the creator of EQ for High IQ, and a wisdom keeper.
$7,000 - covers 20h of personalized 1-on-1 training scheduled accordingly to your needs over 4 months from the day you sign up. Commitment for full program is key.

"Carina helps you remember that the word needs you NOW by pinching you into getting in touch with your sacred and forgotten inner world - the time is now, we are in a crucial time"
Paola Evelina Gallarato, architect
Carina is a wonderful, compassionate human being, and our organization is so grateful for her help in repairing our relationship with another group with whom we work closely. We were dealing with a fraught situation, including difficult questions of personal conduct and organizational protocols, with some participants feeling under threat and others hesitant to state their perspectives or needs. The tension was noticeably deflated after meeting with Carina. Her presence allowed everyone to voice their concerns and questions safely and to identify with minimal judgement where harm had been done. With Carina’s help we all realized that we were ultimately on the same side of the issue, can and want to continue our joint efforts, and have since made strides toward rebuilding trust and communication between the groups. Carina is a talented mediator who cares deeply about the well-being of everyone around her. She truly goes the extra mile to assist others in understanding themselves and in finding healthy, responsible, community-based solutions to whatever problems may arise.

"The first time I met Carina I shared with her some of my deepest fears and anxieties. Talking to her made me feel as though someone understood my soul and spirit. She carries so much wisdom,
compassion, and insight. She has been helping me on my healing journey emotionally and spiritually. Since I started working with her, my perspective on life has changed in a positive way. I wake up feeling less anxious and more grounded. I’ve also started focusing on the fact that my “safe place” comes from the heart. For most of my life I have been so rooted in the idea that happiness is location specific, but that merely is untrue. I’m working on loving myself and rewriting my story and she is teaching me ways to heal from trauma. I’ve started focusing my attention on things that feed my soul and spirit, things she has helped me realize through our discussions. She is the epitome of a natural healer and I feel grounded for the first time in a long time."

“In 45 minutes, Carina hold space for me and guided me to see clearly what is the best solution for my career. I spent weeks agonizing over it, but in the session with her I could feel the right decision for me. And I felt more comfortable accepting my choice. I highly recommend her”
Ope Osoba, PhD, Rand Corporation
Carina is one of the most transparent people I ever met. She has a sharp-witted perception of what's going on, especially about what is hidden underneath the surface. You can trust she will always speak the truth, even about those things that most people are afraid to say.

"We've tried to run a big event with over 400 attendees for several years now. Every year as the number of attendees increases, the demand for backstage crew increases as well as the demand for good team coordinators. Every year it was a struggle to get the right coordinators to manage a team of volunteers. When Carina stepped up to the plate the impact was huge; the event was the smoothest it has ever been. She knows how to direct a big team to accomplish complex tasks. You won't regret having her on your team! TIP: just tell her what you need done and let her do her thing, she's knows how best to execute a smooth operation"
Brian Nguyen, SCTC organizer, double US Tango Champion, Bronze Medalist El Mundial del Tango Argentina, Southern California Tango Championship and Festival
"As the organizer of a big tango event (festival & competition) in Los Angeles, I requested Carina to help me manage the team of volunteers and help run the event smoothly. What I liked about her is that she would think outside of the box and would give me new ideas in regards to planning the logistic of the event. We worked with over 20 volunteers. Her contribution to this event was a big plus. Thanks to her I didn’t have to worry and stress too much about the team. At the end I received many compliments how the event was so much more organized compared to previous years. I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Carina. She is smart, intelligent & hard working person."
